MEDIA SUPERVISOR

The role of the Media Supervisor is to take Effective to the next level of data-driven and statistically modeled media planning, buying and measurement. 

 

Effective’s vision is to make marketing investments with enough precision and control they can be treated as investments rather than expenses. We achieve this high level of confidence and accountability when we analyze business challenges, uncover consumer, brand and channel insights and build an innovative paid media plan rooted in insights. The Media Supervisor plays key roles in all aspects of Effective’s media agency offering:

 

Responsibilities

Media research - Independently develop audience segmentation, target definition, audience, brand, business and marketing channel insights, competitive analysis

 

Media planning - Independently innovative and creative paid media plans. Develop audience barriers and drivers to brand engagement, consumer decision journey, connection idea, channel scorecard development, media mix and partner recommendation. Develop ROI forecasts and conversion models. Design and implement A/B tests.

 

Media buying - Independently activate B2B, B2C and non-profit paid media programs. Build, manage and optimize campaigns in ad platforms.

 

Creative development - Assist client with creative best practice recommendations. Write post and paid search ad copy. Resize static images and build slide show videos.

 

Ad operations - Traffic creative and load creative to ad platforms. Establish and confirm conversion tracking.

 

Media performance reporting - Assist Media Analyst with inputs to build reports. QA reports, write key findings on drivers of campaign success and recommend key actions.

 

Talent management - Manage and mentor 1+ Media Specialists and 1+ Media Analysts. Lead team work sessions and identify opportunities for collaboration.

 

Account management - Lead client meetings and presentations. Develop and foster client relationships. Work towards 100% account retention within a defined portfolio of accounts. Keep senior management apprised of key client opportunities, potential risks and other key nuances which affect the health of the business. Solve client problems and use conflict management skills.

 

Project management - Efficiently manage projects using Asana. Implement workflow templates to streamline new client onboarding and ad operations. Share ideas on process improvement, quality assurance and best practices.

 

Business development - Support business development efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing or advertising preferred

4+ years of digital marketing, search engine, display and / or social marketing preferred

4+ years using data and information to drive specific targeting and marketing recommendations

Knowledge of statistical methods and testing methodology preferred

Deep knowledge of media platforms (Facebook/Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, Mediamath, Pinterest, Snapchat, Tik Tok, Twitter)

Experience with analytics solutions (Funnel.io, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio)

Demonstrated understanding of online and offline marketing principles

High competency level in MS Office with specific strengths in Excel and PowerPoint. Competency with Keynote is also preferred.

Able to work independently and balance multiple tasks

 

Location

MEDIA DIRECTOR

We are looking for an experienced Media Director to lead expansion of Effective's performance marketing capabilities: Improve our service offering, use of data and increase the performance of the paid media programs we build, manage and measure. Build capabilities in online marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, Instacart), affiliate marketing, SEO and influencer marketing. Support business development efforts. Increase client trust and respect.  

 

Responsibilities

Support and manage Supervisor in the formulation of strategies to build a lasting digital connection with consumers and decision makers

Independently lead 3+ accounts. Manage 1+ supervisors, mentor team of 1+ supervisor, 3 specialists and 2 analysts 

 

Co-develop new business and achieve agency revenue goals
 

Retain all accounts and convert 1+ to a retainer agreement 
 

Support expansion of planning expertise - Pilot use of new DSP and new identity resolution partner

 

Support expansion of analytics competency - Use of statistics (descriptive  analytics), enhanced data visualization and use of Funnel.io to automate integration of non-Google data in Google DataStudio 

 

Assist team in launching optimized online campaigns through Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Mediamath, Pinterest, Snapchat, Teads, Twitter, Youtube and others.

 

Measure performance of digital marketing efforts using Google Analytics

 

Acquire insight into online marketing trends and keep strategies up-to-date 

 

Maintain partnerships with clients and vendors 

 

Skills

Proven experience as Media Director or similar role 

 

Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices 

 

Experience with B2C and B2B social media, Google Adwords and programmatic media 

 

Expertise with web analytics tools Google Analytics and Google DataStudio

 

Analytical mindset and excellent critical thinking 

 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

 

Requirements

10+ years of search engine, display, and paid social marketing 

 

10+ years using data and information to drive specific targeting and marketing recommendations 

5+ years managing people

 

Knowledge of statistical methods and A/B testing methodology preferred 

 

Deep knowledge of media platforms (Facebook/Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, MediaMath Snapchat, Twitter) 

 

Experience with ad serving platforms (Sizmek), CRM platforms, and web analytics solutions (Google Analytics, Google Data Studio) 

 

Demonstrated understanding of online and offline marketing principles

 

High competency level in MS Office with specific strengths in Excel and PowerPoint. . Competency with Keynote is also preferred

 

Able to work independently and balance multiple tasks 

 

Strong written and verbal communication skills 

 

Ability to use data to create compelling arguments to influence decisions

 

BS/BA in marketing or relevant field 

Compensation

$150/hrly or $180k+ salary + performance bonus, commission on new business, 401K and health care benefits for full time. Generous paid time off. Work from anywhere.
